Marcus Theatres Plans Brewers Watch Parties and Baseball Film Screenings for World Series

With the Milwaukee Brewers headed to the World Series, Marcus Theatres has announced a slate of watch parties, special screenings and food and drink deals at participating locations in the Milwaukee area.

The celebration also brings two pieces of Milwaukee baseball history back to the big screen: "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers."

Jeff Tomachek, president of Marcus Theatres, said the company has been looking forward to this moment for a long time. "We've been waiting 44 years for a moment like this, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate alongside our Milwaukee community," he said. He added that the company wants its theatres to be another place where fans can gather, whether revisiting stories from Milwaukee baseball history or having a drink with friends while cheering on the team.

Game-day deals at participating locations include $5 domestic drafts, $9 Game Time Lemonades, $10 medium pizzas and half-off appetizers.

Members of the Magical Movie Rewards program who see any movie through Oct. 31 will receive a voucher for one free Junior popcorn, which can be redeemed from Nov. 4 through Nov. 24. People who are not yet members can sign up for free before their visit to qualify.

Fans who want to watch the games with others can do so on TVs and digital television projectors in the bars and lounges at several Marcus locations. Participating sites include Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield, Marcus Renaissance, Marcus Menomonee Falls, Marcus North Shore Cinema and Marcus BistroPlex. Fans can also head to The Wall at Gurnee Cinema for a sports bar experience.

Screenings of "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers" will be held at a number of Marcus locations. They are Marcus Bay Park Cinema in Ashwaubenon; Marcus Green Bay East Cinema in Green Bay; Marcus Hillside Cinema in Delafield; Marcus Hollywood Cinema and Marcus Valley Grand Cinema in Appleton; Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield in Waukesha; Marcus Menomonee Falls Cinema in Menomonee Falls; Marcus Renaissance Cinema in Sturtevant; Marcus Ridge Cinema in New Berlin; Marcus Sheboygan Cinema in Sheboygan; and Marcus South Shore Cinema in Oak Creek.
