Gadi Eisenkot released a campaign video on Saturday that targets Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent comments on financial contingency plans. The Yashar party chairman used the clip to argue that the government’s approach threatens the stability of Israel’s economy. Eisenkot positioned the release as a direct response to remarks Netanyahu made in an interview with Channel 10.

In the interview, Netanyahu stated that Israel must prepare for an alternative economy due to international sanctions. He specifically mentioned that digital finance would certainly form part of his strategy. The prime minister said he had already requested a plan be prepared for this shift. Eisenkot’s video used these statements to frame the government’s actions as an admission of economic failure.

The video opened with the statement that all of Israel’s money is at risk. It then introduced a mocking label for the proposed digital currency system: Bibicoin. Eisenkot’s campaign claimed that adopting such a mechanism would destroy Israel. The video argued that an alternative financial system would resemble the economies of North Korea and Iran.

The clip listed specific sectors that would suffer under this new model. It claimed the plan would mark the end of high-tech, healthcare, and security. The video also raised concerns about global investment. It questioned how international high-tech companies would invest in Israeli firms if digital currency were the only available method.

Eisenkot posted a separate message on X to elaborate on his criticism. He wrote that Netanyahu admits his policy will lead to international isolation. Eisenkot stated that the resulting sanctions would shake the economy and the market. He described the potential outcome as the collapse of national security.

The campaign video emphasized that the country must not let the prime minister burn through savings. It used Netanyahu’s own words from the Channel 10 interview as the primary evidence for its argument. The exchange places the debate over economic contingency planning at the center of the political discussion.

The release marks a sharp escalation in the opposition’s critique of the government’s financial strategy. Eisenkot’s team focused on the specific mechanism of blockchain technology. They presented the move as a dangerous departure from standard financial practices. The video concluded with a warning about the long-term cost of the proposed digital finance backup.
