Ford Motor is set to release its third-quarter financial results after the market closes on Wednesday. Investors will scrutinize how the company performed during a period marked by ongoing supply chain difficulties that impacted its core pickup truck business.
LSEG data indicates that Wall Street expects Ford to report adjusted earnings per share of 40 cents and automotive revenue of $46.24 billion. These figures represent an 11% drop in earnings and a 2% decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year. In the third quarter of 2025, the company generated $47.19 billion in automotive revenue, with net income reaching $2.4 billion.
The F-150 has been the focal point of these production challenges. Ford experienced a new, unrelated supplier issue in late September that interrupted manufacturing. As a result, F-150 production fell from more than 57,500 units in August to fewer than 43,000 units in September.
The company stated that this disruption is containable within its existing 2026 adjusted earnings guidance. Analysts generally anticipate that Ford will maintain its current 2026 outlook. However, opinions differ on the precise impact this production loss will have on third-quarter results. Investors will also monitor any shifts in warranty cost estimates.
Ford’s current 2026 targets include adjusted earnings before interest and taxes ranging from $10 billion to $11 billion. The company also projects adjusted free cash flow between $6 billion and $7 billion. A reaffirmation of these figures is expected to be a primary takeaway from the earnings report.
