The Indiana Hoosiers host the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday for a Big Ten matchup scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. DraftKings Sportsbook lists Indiana as a 20.5-point favorite, with a total points line of 40.5. The contest marks Week 9 of the college football season.

Indiana enters the game with a 7-1 record. The team lost its first game in over a year earlier this month to Ohio State but followed that result with an overtime win at Michigan. Head coach Curt Cignetti said this week that quarterback Josh Hoover has been playing injured. Hoover has completed no more than 54.5 percent of his passes in the last three games, during which the Hoosiers scored 20, 15, and 13 points. The offense remains the team's most vulnerable unit, though the defense ranks second in the nation by allowing 12.0 points per game.

Minnesota is 5-2 on the season and 1-1 on the road. The Golden Gophers have defeated Washington, Michigan, and Iowa, but they have also suffered large losses. They lost at Purdue recently and fell to Mississippi State in non-conference play. The defense ranks 34th in the nation in points per game allowed, while the offense ranks 84th in scoring. Quarterback Drake Lindsey has thrown six interceptions this year, including at least one in each of his last five games.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times. The model gave Indiana an A grade for covering the spread, predicting the Hoosiers will win by more than 20.5 points 68 percent of the time. The model entered Week 9 with a 68-59 record on top-rated college football picks.

Cignetti noted that Hoover’s performance has dipped recently due to the injury. The Hoosiers rely heavily on their defensive unit to maintain their national ranking. Minnesota’s offensive struggles make it difficult for them to keep pace with top-tier competition, despite their recent wins against high-profile opponents.

The game will determine how Indiana responds to its offensive slumps. Minnesota will look to capitalize on any lingering issues with Hoover’s play. The odds reflect a significant gap between the two teams’ current form and historical performance against similar opponents.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. The 20.5-point spread and 40.5-point over/under are the current lines at DraftKings. Bettors can access bonuses and promotions through the sportsbook for this matchup.
