SportsLine experts are targeting three specific games on the Week 8 National Football League schedule for a combined parlay payout of +573. The selection includes the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs against the Denver Broncos, and the Philadelphia Eagles against the Washington Commanders. Bets on all three outcomes would turn a $100 wager into $573 in profit, according to the model’s simulation data.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are favored by 3.5 points against the Browns. Matt Severance, a SportsLine expert, questioned the consistency of Cleveland’s road performance. He noted that the Browns allowed 22 points in losses to the Jaguars and Jets but scored 27 in wins against the Buccaneers and Titans. Despite a Week 2 victory over Pittsburgh, Severance pointed to the Steelers’ recent record as a deciding factor.

Severance stated that the Steelers are 11-0 against the spread in home games within the AFC North. He added that Pittsburgh has not lost to Cleveland at home in the regular season in a couple of decades. The Browns are expected to face a tough defense in a divisional matchup that has historically favored the home team in recent years.

In the other divisional clash, the Chiefs are 112-to-100 favorites against the Broncos. David Bearman, another SportsLine analyst, argued that Denver’s 5-2 record does not reflect their actual play. He cited the Broncos’ 30th-ranked total offense and 23rd-ranked total defense as primary concerns for their chances in Kansas City.

Bearman dismissed the idea that Denver’s offense could rely on big plays, such as a 62-yard quarterback touchdown run or a 52-yard swing pass, to beat the Chiefs. He highlighted a key statistical mismatch: Denver’s 28th-ranked rush defense facing Ken Walker III, who leads the league with 701 rushing yards. Bearman referenced Week 1 data, where the Chiefs dominated in first downs, yards, and time of possession.

In that earlier meeting, the Chiefs led 19-9 in first downs, 392-176 in total yards, and 34-26 in time of possession. Walker recorded 173 yards in that game. Bearman suggested the Chiefs are capable of a similar statistical dominance despite playing one of their statistically worst games of the year in Seattle, where they remained competitive until the fourth quarter.

The third selection involves the Eagles as 5.5-point underdogs to the Commanders. R.J. White, a SportsLine expert, noted that Philadelphia is dealing with injuries but performed well against the Cowboys in their previous game. He observed that the Eagles held a lead late in the third quarter before failing to stop the Dallas offense effectively.

White considered Washington a step down in quality for the Eagles. Key Washington players Terry McLaurin and Jacory Croskey-Merritt are sidelined. He pointed out that Washington’s only win of the season featured just one drive longer than 43 yards, yet the team scored 33 points. White also noted that the Commanders possess the 31st-ranked scoring defense in the league.

White argued that the current units do not deserve to be favored by the current market line. He expressed skepticism about the significant movement in the betting market for this game. The expert chose to fade the public preference for Washington, viewing the Eagles as the better value bet despite their injury concerns and recent defensive struggles.
