Texas man gets 75 years for child pornography and assault of toddler

A 75-year prison term was handed to Joshua Turner in Collin County on Monday.

The 31-year-old Celina resident entered a guilty plea on October 28 to possession of visual material depicting sexual assault. A jury then fixed his sentence at 75 years behind bars.

Police arrested Turner on October 19, 2025, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a tip that he was viewing child pornography. Investigators found that he had deleted evidence from his devices before the raid. Forensic teams recovered several images and videos, including material showing the sexual assault of toddlers.

The probe also uncovered messages Turner sent to minors via Kik, Session, and Telegram. In these texts, he described sexual acts he wanted to perform on children as young as three. The investigation further revealed that Turner had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old victim after providing her with alcohol.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said the case involved possession of despicable pornography, messaging to multiple minors, and intercourse with a 14-year-old after giving her alcohol. Willis stated that a jury sentenced him to 75 years in prison and that those who exploit children will be held accountable.
