The Milwaukee Brewers scored eight runs in the fifth inning on Sunday to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays. The lopsided 10-1 final score means the Brewers need only one more win to secure their first championship title.

The offense exploded when the team recorded seven straight two-out hits during the middle of the game. Jackson Chourio was a major factor in the rout, collecting four hits for the night. The performance effectively ended any hopes Tampa Bay had of turning the series around after changing venues.

In the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 to improve their record to 3-4 on the season. CeeDee Lamb and Javonte Williams combined for 229 yards and three touchdowns in the win. The victory keeps the Cowboys in contention for first place in the NFC East.

The Dallas offense overwhelmed a shorthanded Philadelphia lineup. Fantasy football managers who started either Lamb or Williams benefited from the high output. The Eagles have struggled recently, and this loss further complicates their divisional standing.

The New York Valkyries defeated the Atlanta Dream 64-55 in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals. The win gives the Valkyries a 3-1 series lead, putting them one victory away from their first championship. Kiah Stokes limited Angel Reese on defense while scoring 13 points for New York.

Game 6 is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The series has been competitive, with the Dream fighting back in previous games. A loss on Thursday would end the Dream's season.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore will miss the rest of the 2026 college football season due to a concussion sustained in Week 4 against USC. The Ducks face No. 20 Northwestern this weekend with either Dylan Raiola or Brock Thomas starting at quarterback. Moore's absence has coincided with offensive struggles for Eugene.

The halftime act for Super Bowl LXI was announced as Jay-Z. He will perform at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 14, 2027. The game falls on Valentine's Day, and Jay-Z's company Roc Nation selected the artist for the event.
