Fans in Inglewood, California, will see Jay-Z on the main stage during the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist confirmed the booking on Monday. The game is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium.

In a statement, Jay-Z reflected on his career path. “From ‘Reasonable Doubt’ to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey,” he said. He noted that the performance marks thirty years of music, work, and culture on what he called the biggest stage in the world.

The news broke during a Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. Apple Music posted a short video on social media confirming the lineup, using the hashtag #AppleMusicHalftime.

Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s company, has produced the Super Bowl halftime shows since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year contract extension that keeps it in the role through 2029. Since taking over production, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap artists.

The 2026 halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin made special appearances. The 2025 show in New Orleans featured Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Usher performed in 2024, and Rihanna headlined in 2023.

Jay-Z has not previously performed at the Super Bowl, despite his ties to the league and previous headliners. He is currently on tour to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt,” and the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.” The “Jay-Z 30” tour began with three shows at Yankee Stadium in July.

The tour continued with two concerts in London and one in Paris in September. His final scheduled performances before the Super Bowl are set for Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. These shows will take place in the same venue where he will perform in February.
